The Centre Team
The Yorkshire Laser Centre – The UK Medical Laser Centre, operates with a small core team of staff led by a Centre Manager and two administration personnel sharing a single post. There is an honorary board of directors which reports to the Charity’s Trustees - The Laser Trust Fund (Moghissi). Professor Moghissi is the Honorary Clinical Director and is also chair of the Laser Trust. There is a growing team of associate Honorary Consultants, with Mark Stringer acting as Scientific Director. The Centre is supported operationally at Goole and District Hospital by the staff and facilities of the Goole Surgical and Treatment Centre.

SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR
Dr. Mark Stringer BSc, PhD
Dr Mark Stringer (BSc, PhD) is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute of Microwaves and Photonics, University of Leeds, where he is currently engaged in research centred upon the development and application of Terahertz technologies. With a background based in laser physics, he has extensive experience involving laser applications as diverse as the study of light-induced processes in dye molecules, investigating the gaseous components of meteorites, and the diagnosis and treatment of human cancers. His role within the YCL is to provide scientific support in the establishment of novel technologies and clinical modalities.
