About
Us
The Yorkshire
Laser Centre is the project of a charitable
organisation founded in 1984 by Professor Moghissi
(The Laser Trust Fund (Moghissi)- Registered
Charity No. 326689), who is the now the chairman
and medical director of the Yorkshire Laser
centre.
The
Yorkshire Laser Centre (YLC) was formed in 1997
in order that the research, treatment and training
initiated by KM could be continued; the decision
was taken in 2007 to “rebrand” the
YLC as the UK Medical Laser Centre (UKMLC).
Professor
Keyvan Moghissi is one of the country's leading
Cardiothoracic Surgeons and has written a number
of books on the subject.
He has had a distinguished career in the field
of cardiothoracic surgery, successfully gaining
many qualifications along the way.
On January
23rd 2007 the Yorkshire Laser Centre hosted
a mini symposium titled "Photodynamics
and Lasers in Medicine". For further details
